Installation

CRAFT installs as an add-in for supported Autodesk CAD hosts. This page covers prerequisites, download, and verification.

System Requirements

Operating System
Windows 10 or Windows 11
Runtime
.NET 8.0 or later
CAD Host
Autodesk Revit 2024+ or Autodesk Civil 3D 2024+

For detailed host version information, see the Compatibility page.

Download

Download the CRAFT installer from the Download page. The installer is a signed package for Windows.

Signed distribution. The CRAFT installer is code-signed. Your operating system will verify the signature automatically during installation. If you see an "unknown publisher" warning, do not proceed — verify you downloaded from the official source.

Verification

After downloading, you can verify the installer integrity independently:

  • SHA-256 hash — Compare the published hash on the download page against the file you downloaded
  • Code signing — The installer carries a code-signing certificate that Windows verifies automatically

Both checks confirm that the installer has not been tampered with in transit.

Install Process

Run the installer with your CAD host closed. The installer registers CRAFT as an add-in for the supported hosts detected on your system. Once installed, CRAFT appears in the host's add-in ribbon the next time you launch the host application.

Close your CAD host first. The installer needs to register add-in files that the host reads at startup. Running the installer while the host is open may result in the add-in not appearing until you restart the host.

What Gets Installed

  • The CRAFT add-in binaries and resources
  • Host integration manifest files (registered per supported host)
  • No background services, daemons, or system-wide agents are installed

Next Steps

After installation, activate your license to enable automation execution. Activation is machine-bound and supports offline operation.
